Greatest of the western kingdoms, occupying the lands between the Lesser Akhulls and around Lake Azarin. Originally populated by emigrants from Gilesh and the Border Kingdoms, Nahal also saw a strong influx of dwarves and Chrotanans. Countless wars in the Border Kingdoms saw the link between Nahal and Gilesh unravel, and the country eventually evolved along a different path with greater focus on trade and civil rights. Whereas Gilesh is renowned for its strong adherence to feudal social order and manorialism, Nahal society is distinct in that its monarch rules the country together with a ‘house of representatives’ known as the ‘Chamber of Estates’. The CoE has the power to veto any edict from the king if they can muster a ¾ majority.
